Why Plan Lunches Ahead?
Just like supper, a little lunch prep goes a long way:
It helps you stick to healthy eating — no more vending machine regrets
It saves money (and the stress of last-minute drive-thru runs)
It keeps kids focused and full of energy at school
It gives you one less thing to think about in the morning
And it doesn’t have to be fancy. You’ll see...
Follow the Simple Lunchbox Formula
Build balanced, healthy lunches with this easy guide (inspired by Canada’s Food Guide again!):
½ Veggies & Fruits – Think carrots, cucumbers, apples, berries, or a fun mini salad
¼ Protein Foods – Like hard-boiled eggs, hummus, tuna, or grilled chicken
¼ Whole Grains – Try whole-wheat wraps, pita, pasta, or brown rice

Add a bonus snack or a treat (like yogurt, granola bar, or a homemade muffin) to keep things fun!
